Sylvia McCall was born on September 29, 1926. She was born in Conway, Arkansas. Sylvia graduated from Green Briar, Arkansas in 1944. She says she went to the college of marriage when asked if she attended school after graduating high school.
Sylvia enjoys bird watching from her bedroom window and she has also always had a love for reading. She especially enjoys reading romance novels. Sylvia also loved to be in the garden growing flowers and food.
Sylvia was married two times and both times she lost them too illness. She was married to her first husband for 20 years and her second husband for 22 years. Together they had five children; Millie, Dianne, Dell, Tim, and Jon. She has a total of 9 grandkids with many great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren.
What has been the biggest change you’ve seen in your lifetime?
“We didn’t use to know what a phone was let alone a cell phone.” Our ways to travel have changed as well.” It’s much easier to get to where you want to go nowadays.”
If you could give one piece of advice to the younger generations, what would it be?
“Getting close to Christ.’ “If you have Christ in your life then you don’t need a lot of other things.” I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have him in mine.”
What’s on your bucket list to still accomplish in life?
“I would like to travel more!” “I have always wanted to go to Hawaii!”
What’s your legacy…what do you want to be most remembered for?
“I hope it would be for kindness.”
